Our Origins
Our company name XICA reads as "sa-i-ka," a homonym to a Japanese word for emerging and blooming talent.
The XICA logo consists of a logomark depicting blooming talent and a logotype symbolizing data science. Together, they represent our passion for supporting all human creativity through the power of data.
The logomark expressing an emerging talent fuses the letters X and I, together read as "sai = talent" in Japanese, using colors representing RGB and CMYK, the foundation of every creation and expression. It symbolizes blossoming talent of all kinds.

Yoshiaki Hirao
A graduate of Keio University, Faculty of Policy Management. Yoshiaki witnessed the banruptcy of his father's company, and this drove him to discover the potential of management support through statistical analysis in university. He founded XICA Co., Ltd. in February 2012. Based on his background in statistics and economics, he has provided extensive marketing consulting services to a number of major clients, and he has served as a product owner in the development of various products at XICA.

Since starting his career as an IT engineer in 2000, he has served as a tech lead, CTO, and VPoE at 12 companies, including TOSE Co., Ltd., CA Mobile Co., Ltd., ALBERT Co., Ltd., Speee Co., Ltd., and Mercari Co., Ltd. Participated in XICA from January 2020. After serving as CTO, he was appointed EVP of Development in April 1. Concurrently serves as CHRO from January 2022. He also serves as the CEO of Cross Garage, LLC, and serves as an advisor on technology, organization, and products for multiple companies.

After being in charge of venture capital operations in Japan and the United States at Fujitsu Limited and Mitsui & Co., Ltd., he served as head of Japan investment at Globespan Capital Partners and Salesforce.com. Joined Draper Nexus Venture Partners in March 2015 and became Managing Director. He holds a Ph.D. (academic degree) from Doshisha University and a graduate degree from the Wharton School of Business Administration at the University of Pennsylvania. Born in Wakayama Prefecture in 1951. Professor emeritus at Keio University. Doctorate in Economics. After graduating from Hitotsubashi University with a bachelor's degree in economics, he joined the Japan Development Bank in 73. Upon his resignation in 81, he served as a visiting associate professor at Harvard University and as a professor at Keio University's Faculty of Policy Studies. He was appointed Minister of State for Economic and Fiscal Policy in the Koizumi Cabinet in 01 and has since served as Minister of State for Financial Affairs, Minister of State for Postal Privatization, Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications, etc. In 04, he was elected to the House of Councilors. In September 06, he resigned from the House of Councillors and retired from politics. He has also served as Research Advisor to the Japan Center for Economic Research, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Academy Hills, Chairman of the Board of Pasona Group, External Director of Orix Corporation, Independent External Director of SBI Holdings, Inc. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the World Economic Forum (Davos Forum).

Masanori Murakami
Born in Hyogo Prefecture. He is involved in small satellite development, satellite autonomous control, and orbit engineering at the University of Tokyo. After entering the same graduate school, he was in charge of basic research such as ``Hayabusa'' and ``Icarus'' at the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science (currently JAXA). After joining Goldman Sachs, he worked in the investment banking department in Tokyo and London, where he was involved in many management and strategic transformations of global companies in Japan, Europe, America, and emerging countries. As head of the IT industry, he is involved in investment projects, M&A, and financing operations in a wide range of technology-related industries. After founding Signifiant Co., Ltd., he has engaged in numerous management engagements with unlisted and post-IPO startups as a director, advisor, and investor. He founded THE FUND, Japan's first independent growth capital. He has invested in many promising startups that can contribute to the creation of future society. His areas of expertise include corporate management, finance, governance, and ESG/SDGs. His book, ``Sustainable Capitalism 5% ``Thinking Consumption'' Changes Society''.

Tomoko Aramaki
After passing the second CPA examination, she joined Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting (now ABeam Consulting), where she was involved in accounting system development work in a core system development project. She then joined Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC, where she was involved in accounting audits, risk management, and monitoring. She has been a full-time Audit & Supervisory Board Member (ASBM) of XICA since June 2.

Taichi Amano
Taichi joined FICC Corporation as a software engineer and worked on various system development projects. He then worked as a development team leader at Laksul Corporation, and as a lead engineer, SRE, and engineering manager at Speee Corporation. He joined XICA in 2020 as CTO Office Manager, and was appointed CTO in April 2022.

Masaomi joined Keyence Corporation, where he worked for a major transportation manufacturer in sales of factory automation equipment. He then furthered his career in advertising sales at GREE, Inc. where as a senior manager of the marketing department, he was consistently responsible for marketing practices from research and planning to execution and analysis.
He joined XICA in July 2018 as Deputy General Manager of CS, and after concurrently serving as General Manager of Sales and MK, he became Manager of the MAGELLAN Division before assuming the position of Executive Officer in April 7. -

Masaki Mikami
Masaki joined Hakuhodo in 1982. After working in the IT division and the business/promotion domain, he was involved in the establishment of “Hakuhodo Dennotai”, the first dedicated Internet organization for a Japanese advertising company in 96. Since then, he has been leading the digital field, practicing integrated marketing and data-driven marketing, etc.
He was appointed Executive Officer of Hakuhodo in 2010, and Executive Officer in charge of i-media domain of Hakuhodo DY Media Partners in 11. Since 16, he concurrently serves as Managing Executive Officer of Hakuhodo and Hakuhodo DY Media Partners. In 18, he was appointed Managing Executive Officer, CISO and in charge of the Innovation Center at Hakuhodo DY Media Partners.
He was also a member of the juror at the "Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity" in the Media Lions in 13 and in the Innovation category in 16. -

Kenta Murata
Kenta started developing Kondara MNU/Linux as a student, and participated in the development of several OSS. After completing his doctoral studies at Hokkaido University, he became a Ruby committer in 2010, improving and maintaining Ruby's numeric-related features, such as built-in numeric classes and the bigdecimal library. In 2017, he joined Speee Inc. as a full-time OSS developer, working on data processing tools for Ruby such as pycall.rb and Charty. He has also been working as a committer for Apache Arrow since 2019. He first joined XICA as an advisor in the data science field, and became CRO in 2020.

He joined Recruit Jobs Co., Ltd. (now Recruit Co., Ltd.) as a new graduate and was selected as the 500 MVP for sales out of approximately 2009 candidates. After that, he was in charge of overseeing an organization of up to 80 people as a team leader and organization head. He joined XICA in October 2020. He joined the company as the head of sales, and after serving as the head of the MAGELLAN department and the head of the customer success department, he was appointed as the head of the business division and was appointed as an executive officer.

Director, Keio University Economic Research InstituteTakahiro Hoshino
Received his doctorate in Economics and Philosophy in March 2004 from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the University of Tokyo. After working at the Research Organization of Information and Systems' Institute of Statistical Mathematics, and the Graduate School of Economics, Nagoya University, he became a professor at the Faculty of Economics, Keio University. He has been a visiting scholar at the University of Chicago and at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. He is the President of the Behavioral Economics Association of Japan. He is also a board member of the Japan Institute of Marketing Science. He is also the leader of the team applying AI to economic and management research at the RIKEN AIP Center, a leading research institute for AI research in Japan. He has conducted basic research in statistics, econometrics, and psychology, and applied research in various fields such as marketing, brain science, and public health.
