XICA MARKETING SCIENCE LAB (hereinafter referred to as MS Lab), a community run by XICA Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hirao Yoshiaki; hereinafter referred to as XICA) that aims to explore "optimal decision-making" in marketing, will host a free event exclusively for community members on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 5:30 PM, featuring Tomoyuki Ishii, Head of the Marketing Department at Recruit Co., Ltd., and Hirotaka Nakanishi, Head of the Marriage & Family Product Management Unit, on the theme of "Exploring the potential of AI to support decision-making."

Event Background
"Even when we use AI, only inoffensive answers are returned," "It's only for personal use, and the organization isn't making full use of AI" -- have you ever felt that way?
Now that the use of AI has gone beyond the stage of "cost reduction" and the quality of decision-making is being questioned, the focus is on methods of having AI learn a company's own unique data and analysis results, and through discussions with the AI, getting to the heart of strategy that was not visible through conventional analysis.
In this seminar, we will be joined by Mr. Ishii, Marketing Manager for Recruit's "Zexy" business, and Mr. Nakanishi, Product Manager, who will discuss topics such as to what extent the use of AI can support decision-making.

Tomoyuki Ishii Mr

After joining Recruit in 2008, he worked at Google before returning to Recruit. He has served as a marketing manager in a variety of business areas, including travel, housing, SaaS, and educational support, and has been in his current position since April 2025.

Hirotaka Nakanishi Mr

Joined the company in 2015. After gaining experience in sales for Zexy, in 17 he was put in charge of new business development and promotion in the matchmaking field. After that he was involved in business planning and product management. He has been in his current position since 23.

Yoshiaki Hirao
President and CEO of XICA Corporation
Graduated from the Faculty of Policy Management, Keio University. After experiencing the bankruptcy of the company his father worked for, he discovered the potential for management support through statistical analysis that he encountered while at university, and founded XICA Inc. in 2012. He has supported over 280 companies, primarily enterprises, and has contributed to highly reproducible business growth as a "data science firm that creates a business growth spiral." His books include "Data Analysis Thinking Methods to Target Sales Growth: 6 Steps of 'Data x Sensibility' to Continue Winning" (Cross Media Publishing).
