XICA appoints former ALBERT executive officer Shoji Hirahara as executive officer
Strengthening organizational capabilities to ensure repeatability of value delivery and maximize the accuracy of realizing the client's "growth spiral"
SAICA Corporation (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yoshiaki Hirao; hereinafter referred to as SAICA) is pleased to announce that Shoji Hirahara has been appointed Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2026. Hirahara will concurrently serve as General Manager of SAICA's Consulting Division and Business Development Division, and will be responsible for overall solution delivery and sales to client companies.

Background to the appointment
As a data science firm that utilizes data science and consulting, XICA provides solutions to its client companies, primarily enterprises, that create a growth spiral that allows them to continue winning in business.
Hirahara, who has recently been appointed as an Executive Officer at XICA, previously served as Executive Officer at ALBERT, Inc. (acquired by Accenture in 2022), a pioneering company in the social implementation of data science. He led the company's growth for over 15 years since its founding, responsible for everything from business strategy formulation to marketing, new business development, and human resource development. Hirahara's extensive knowledge of converting data science into business value and achieving sustainable corporate growth will be implemented as a system at XICA, which is now in a period of full-scale organizational and business expansion. This will improve organizational strength and strengthen the reproducibility of value delivery to client companies. This will enable XICA to build a system that realizes a growth spiral with greater precision in addressing client companies' challenges, driving further business growth.
A brief biography of Akitsugu Hirahara and his comments on assuming the position
<Biography>
In 2002, he participated in the launch of several new businesses in the incubation division of an independent venture capital firm. He was involved in planning business strategies from the launch of JVs and building alliances with major retailers, and transferred the business in February 2006. In October 2006, he joined ALBERT Inc. (listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Mothers market in February 2015 *currently the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market), and was appointed executive officer in April 2013. He is responsible for the recommendation engine business, CRM solutions business, data analytics business, and data scientist training support business.
Comments on assuming the position:
My name is Shoji Hirahara, and I have been appointed as an executive officer of XICA Corporation.
At my previous company, ALBERT Inc., whose core business is data science, I was involved in numerous decision-making sessions with clients and partner companies for approximately 17 years, from the company's founding.
While the use of AI in business is currently progressing rapidly, the essence of using data to make decisions remains universal. Now, as technology evolves, businesspeople are increasingly required to have a higher level of data-based judgment and the ability to put that judgment into practice.
XICA is a company that offers solid value and has great potential for business growth. By embodying our purpose of "bringing talent to fruition," I am confident that we can not only support the marketing field but also contribute to the realization of a better society. Joining XICA, which is in a period of transformation, is a new challenge for me, and it is an environment where I can be truly "enthusiastic." I will make the most of my experience to date and do my best.
Comment from President and CEO Yoshiaki Hirao
Hirahara is one of the business leaders at ALBERT, a pioneering company that has led data science in Japan and which I deeply respect.
By combining Hirahara's knowledge of converting data science into business value with the data science methods that XICA has honed, including MMM and CMM, and developing them in a XICA-like way, we hope to pave the way for the future, carrying on the history of data science that our predecessors have built up. By implementing the "flowering of talent" that XICA's company name is derived from, Hirahara will be able to implement it both organizationally and individually, maximizing the accuracy and speed with which XICA's value of "creating a winning organization" can be delivered to our clients.
